Missouri Tigers Football Recruiting: National Signing Day 2015 Live Tracker
National Signing Day 2015 takes place on Wednesday, February 4, and it will be a big day for the Missouri Tigers, who have done a solid job of recruiting this year and have a good chance at finishing with a Top 25 recruiting class when it’s all said and done.
If the Tigers can secure defensive tackle Terry Beckner, Jr., who has Mizzou among his final four schools, on Tuesday, that will mean that they’ve successfully brought in the top prospects in the states of Missouri, Illinois, and Kansas (as ranked by rivals.com). Quarterback Drew Lock is the top player in Missouri, while offensive lineman A.J. Harris is the number one prospect in Kansas.
At this point, the Tigers are almost at their maximum 25 signings for the year, as they already have 23 recruits in the fold and have a good chance at gaining two more on Wednesday. With that said, running back Nate Strong is expected to need at least a year in junior college to gain academic eligibility, while running back Marquise Doherty might be selected in this summer’s MLB Draft and has the option to go straight to the minor leagues.
Here’s a rundown of the Tigers’ recruiting so far, and what they still have to accomplish on National Signing Day:

What’s the biggest storyline going into Signing Day?
Missouri is said to have a pretty good shot of getting a commitment from defensive tackle Terry Beckner, Jr. of East St. Louis High School. Due to a ridiculous discrepancy in rankings, Beckner is only ranked as a four-star prospect the fifth-best player at the defensive tackle position and the 36th-best player nationally by Rivals, but ESPN rates him as a five-star recruit and the second-best player in the country overall. If he keeps his act together, Beckner Jr. will have a great chance to be the next player on a long list of NFL defensive linemen that have come out of Mizzou over the past 15 years.
