Bench (5)- Hank Conger ($1.1M), Josh Harrison ($2.8M), Travis Ishikawa ($1.1M), Daniel Descalso ($1.5M), Ichiro Suzuki ($2M).

Outside of Hank Conger as my backup catcher, each player was picked based on versatility and ability to provide a decent option batting-wise when needed. Josh Harrison may be the best overall player for the price tag, costing only $2.8-million for a player that can play every position.

*DH (1)- Jose Bautista would be the designated hitter if necessary, with Josh Harrison taking over a spot in the outfield.

Think you can assemble a better 25-man roster? You have $93 million to play with. Sounds easy until you see the price tag for elite talent. For me I had to debate: is one player really worth one fifth of my payroll? I answered no, and even something as small as 2 or 3 million could make it so that I couldn’t add another player. Obviously it is much easier when you can have rookies under contract for league minimum for years to come. But I encourage you, the readers, to assemble your own roster and comment to us with your team.
