What Should the St. Louis Rams be Watching Out for at the 2015 Senior Bowl?

Defensive Tackles: The Rams almost certainly are going to need to bring in reinforcements at the defensive tackle position with Kendall Langford likely to be released this offseason and Alex Carrington unlikely to be re-signed once he hits unrestricted free agency. They’ve shown little fear in utilizing undrafted free agents at the position in the past, though it would be wise to either draft or sign a free agent at defensive tackle, as they’ll have no established depth beyond Michael Brockers and Aaron Donald.
Until they selected Donald, the Rams had shown a preference for tall, athletic DTs, bringing in a multitude of players who were 6-foot-5 and taller. With the tackles’ roles having changed a bit with Donald now the full-time 3-technique and Brockers playing more of a true nose tackle role, it’s still more likely than not that the Rams will look for players who fit their traditional mold at the position.
The strongest scheme fit for the Rams at the Senior Bowl is Stanford’s Henry Anderson, a 6-foot-6, 295-pounder who played the 5-technique defensive end position at Stanford. Under Fisher and Waufle, the Rams have converted several 5-techniques, including Langford and Carrington, to defensive tackle, and Anderson would be a similar player. He’s a strong, disciplined run defender who also has intriguing pass rush skills, and as a projected second-day pick, he should be in the Rams’ range in the second or third round.
