St. Louis Rams Closing Evaluations: What Grades Do the Cornerbacks Receive?
Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports
Marcus Roberson: Roberson had some trouble getting onto the field in 2014, but when he was there, he did good things. The rookie from Florida, who surprisingly went undrafted this May, ended up starting two games and made significant contributions from scrimmage in two others. Roberson finished the season with 10 tackles, and he really looked good in the season finale against Seattle, where he got back into the lineup after being inactive for seven straight games and recorded his first interception as a pro.
We only saw Roberson play 137 snaps from scrimmage in 2014, so it’s difficult to know how he’ll hold up over the length of a full season, but if he continues to play like he did when pressed into action this year, he should be a solid NFL corner who can be relied on to start.
