Heading into the 2014 season, one of the bigger concerns for the St. Louis Rams seemed to be their depth at cornerback. They had third-year pros Janoris Jenkins and Trumaine Johnson ready to be dependable contributors at the two outside corner spots, but with rookies Lamarcus Joyner and E.J. Gaines and untested second-year player Brandon McGee as the backups, things were uncertain if the Rams needed to dip into their depth.

Though the secondary was dealt a blow with a serious preseason injury to Johnson, the depth at corner ended up being perhaps the most pleasant surprise on the entire team. Gaines went on to be one of the team’s best players, and even displaced Jenkins, Johnson, and Joyner from their projected roles once all four were finally healthy at the same time.

Please read through the next few slides to see how each of the Rams’ cornerbacks graded out for the 2014 season.
