The St. Louis Blues wrapped up the first half of their 2014-15 season on Thursday night, defeating the San Jose Sharks to earn their third straight win. Things went pretty well for the Blues in the first half, though the standings don’t necessarily reflect that, with them sitting in third place with a record of 25-13-3 (53 points), trailing both the Chicago Blackhawks and Nashville Predators. A year ago, the Blues sat in second place after 41 games, trailing the Blackhawks with a 29-7-5 record.

Despite the pressure that’s now going to be placed on the team over the second half, the first half should not be looked back on as a failure. There were plenty of exciting moments which will be memorable for Blues fans for years to come, and while the record isn’t as good as last year’s at this point, the team looks better equipped to have a strong finish than they did a year ago.

Please advance through the next few slides to relive five of the most exciting storylines from the Blues’ first half of the season.
