The St. Louis Rams weren’t able to get a whole lot of consistent production out of their wide receiver corps in 2014. That wasn’t particularly surprising to fans of the team, considering that the Rams haven’t had a wide receiver gain 1,000 yards in a season since back in 2008.

With that said, we probably saw more excitement out of this year’s group of receivers than we have from any group of Rams wideouts since the mid-2000s. Brian Quick emerged as a legitimate threat early in the season, and after he went down with a season-ending injury, Kenny Britt and Stedman Bailey both had some huge games, while former first-rounder Tavon Austin also had some electrifying moments. The Rams were limited with what they could do playcalling-wise to get their receivers involved with Austin Davis and Shaun Hill as the quarterbacks, but under the circumstances, the wideouts did a pretty good job for most of 2014.
