St. Louis Rams vs. New York Giants Staff Predictions

The St. Louis Rams conclude their 2014 home schedule on Sunday when they take on the New York Giants at the Edward Jones Dome. The Rams, who currently sit at 6-8, will look to put themselves in position to finish .500 for the first time since 2006 by securing a victory on Sunday.

With the recent speculation about a possible relocation to Los Angeles for the 2015 season, there was also the possible angle of Sunday being the last Rams home game in St. Louis, but that seemingly has been quashed by Saturday’s report that no NFL team will move to LA until at least the 2016 season. So now, Rams fans will have to settle for the yearly excitement of fan appreciation day and the intrigue surrounding a young team that truly appears to be on the upswing and ready to contend for real next year.

Here’s how our staff at Arch Authority believes that Sunday’s matchup will play out:

More from St. Louis Rams

Patrick Karraker, Editor: “With the struggles that the Giants have been through this season on offense, I fully expect the Rams to be able to continue their defensive dominance. With that said, I’m also expecting rookie phenom Odell Beckham, Jr. to break loose for at least one touchdown on Sunday, but as long as the Rams can put two scores on the board I think they can pull off a victory. With the Giants’ defense being far from dominant, there’s a high chance of that happening.” Rams 24, Giants 10

Paul Lamb, Staff Writer: Eli Manning seems to always have a ‘gift’ interception for his opponents. With the Rams defense playing so well, that gift could be more like 4-5 gift picks. If they can cause turnovers, this one won’t be close.” Rams 31, Giants 7

Scott Criscione, Staff Writer: “My record this year reflects the Giants record… terrible. But I do have Odell Beckham Jr. leading me through the fantasy playoffs. I don’t see the Rams containing Beckham at all, but they will get to Eli Manning plenty.” Giants 20, Rams 17
