Cardinals Offense Explodes, Slides Past Brewers
By Darrel Craig

The Cardinals offense finally woke up today, and in a big way, scoring 9 runs on 12 hits, including two home runs against Milwaukee Brewers starter Kyle Lohse.
Kolten Wong led the way, going 3-5 with a home run, double, and his 16th stolen base of the season. Jhonny Peralta added a home run, and the kid Oscar Taveras added a 2-RBI double in the offensive explosion.
This should be a welcoming sight to Cardinals fans, especially since this is the club’s first win all season when giving up seven runs or more. Also, Trevor Rosenthal grabbed his league-leading 33rd save of the season. Everyone chipped in offensively, today with the exception of Matt Adams. This is a great showing for the offense and it comes at just the right time, right in the thick of the divisional race. Hopefully this is a sign of what’s to come down the stretch.
