Predicting the Five Best Cross-League Fights in Sports

Barry Bonds (MLB) vs. Bill Romanowski (NFL)
Two players who were physical giants, prominent faces in performance-enhancing drug controversies in their respective sports, and who experienced some important moments during their careers in the Bay Area. Bonds, who was last listed at 6-foot-2 and 228 pounds, squares up against Romanowski, who was last listed at 6-foot-4 and 245 pounds. Both have histories with this kind of malicious activity: Bonds fought his own teammate, Jason Christiansen, and punched him in the jaw during a 2005 altercation, while Romanowski ended the career of his teammate, Marcus Williams, with a punch to the face in 2003.
While this fight is highly dependent on whether it’s taking place now or in the primes of their careers (and whether either of them is roid-raging), Romanowski gets the edge, if only because his attack on a teammate was a crushing blow, while Bonds’s was not enough and ultimately resulted in him being put in a headlock.
