With free agency opening up for the NHL on Tuesday, we’ll see plenty of action around the league. This won’t be the biggest offseason for the St. Louis Blues, as they seem to be adopting more of an in-house approach after the acquisitions of veterans like Ryan Miller, Derek Roy, Brenden Morrow, Steve Ott, and Carlo Colaiacovo failed to really pan out last year. With that said, if an opportunity comes for the Blues to acquire proven scoring help, don’t think that they won’t jump at the chance. Rumors indicate that they’re going heavily after free agent center Paul Stastny, and trade talks involving Ottawa Senators center Jason Spezza may not be completely off the table.

Here are five priorities for the Blues as they head into the busiest phase of the offseason:
