Mizzou’s Jabari Brown to Play for Houston Rockets Summer League Team
Missouri guard, Jabari Brown, who went undrafted in Thursday’s NBA Draft despite being the SEC’s leading scorer in 2013-14, will play for the Houston Rockets’ NBA Summer League team, according to Houston Chronicle Rockets beat writer Jonathan Feigen. Considering the young depth that the Rockets have built up over the past few years, it would be surprising if Brown got a shot with Houston even if he dominated the Summer League, but this opportunity gives him a great chance to impress teams across the league.
We’ve seen several undrafted free agents–the names Jeremy Lin and Kent Bazemore come to mind quickly– who have made enough of an impression in the summer league to earn regular season contracts. Brown will seek to be the next with his athleticism and clutch shooting ability.
