2014 MLB Draft, Day 2: Start Time, Live Stream, and More
Day 2 of the 2014 MLB Draft takes place on Friday, with rounds 4 through 10 being conducted. Though there statistically isn’t nearly as much success among players picked on the second day as there is on the first, these players still have a decent shot at becoming big league contributors, and these rounds tend to be the period in which teams take players who have some really intriguing tools but still need a bit of development before becoming big-league quality performers.
The St. Louis Cardinals will have eight picks Friday, and they’ll likely look to add some organizational depth in other areas after taking four righthanded pitchers with their first four picks on Thursday. In particular, the Cards seem to have a deficit of prospects at the corner infield positions in the minors, and it would be wise for them to find some college players at those positions who could advance through the system quicker than their high school counterparts.
Unlike the first day of the draft, the second day won’t be on TV, but you can still follow it via live stream online. Check in with Arch Authority for all the latest updates on all things Cardinals and St. Louis-related.
