Best Fielder

Peter Bourjos

With Pete Kozma out of the everyday lineup, the Cardinals are going to need another fielder to step up and be someone special. I believe that Peter Bourjos is ready to take on that challenge and give the Cardinals an edge in center field they haven’t had since Jim Edmonds hung up the cleats. Like Jim Edmonds, he comes over from the Los Angeles Angels looking to prove something after an injury shorten year. Unfortunately, that’s where the comparisons end. Bourjos hasn’t played often so we don’t know what his per season expectations offensively should be. However,  if his only full season with the Angels in 2011 is any indication (.271, 12 HRs, 43 RBIs), then he will add a productive bat to the lineup.
