of when Free agency broke loose with a fury of moves. While big players like the: Raiders, Browns, Dolphins, and Jaguars made a variety of moves, as expected. The Best Division in football, the NFC West, sat idol for the most part on day one. Here is what you missed from the frenzy in the division from today.

Arizona Cardinals: They need to address their Offensive line after the past few years of being one of the worse teams in that department. They also lost one of their better defenders in linebacker Karlos Dansby, as well as their 3rd receiver Andre Roberts.

San Francisco 49ers: With the departure of Donte Whitner (SS) to the Browns, the 49ers addressed his replacement within hours and look to not miss a step on defense. They also got a hold of a backup quarterback who may surprise some.

Signed: Antoine Bethea (SS) – 4 years/ 24 million

Traded: 6TH round pick for Blaine Gabbert (QB) (UPDATE: at 9:30 pm Central)- 49ers confirm trading for Jonathan Martin (T) from Dolphins for a conditional pick

Seattle Seahawks: The only team that is glad to see Golden Tate gone is the Rams. He only seemed to show up against them, and lucky for them, it appears he is off to Detroit. When you are the champions of the league, you often don’t have to address much. Some of the smaller pieces will move on to bigger deals with other teams, but the core of the team remains. They probable will be quiet and hold on to their 13 million is cap space.

St. Louis Rams: Gone is Harvey Dahl and Roger Saffold. Saffold signed to the Oakland Raiders for upwards of 42 million over five years within minutes of free agency. Dahl might return to the Rams at a cheaper price. Regardless, with about 13 million in cap space, the Rams might sit quiet and wait for the later days of free agency to grab a veteran cheap.
