Cardinals lose Spring Training opener. 

The Cardinals lost their Spring Training opener against their stadium mate the Miami Marlins. Here is Scott Criscione’s write up on the loss.

"Carlos Martinez fresh of his lessons of social media pitched three good innings, with the exception of his two run homerun he let up he was attacking batters and retired the final seven batters after the mistake. Yadier Molina had a good day at the plate going 2-for-3 and gathering two singles along the way. Peter Bourjos also had a good debut going 1-for-2 and getting an RBI as well. Jhonny Perlata did not play in the game so his debut will be on another day."

The Cardinals will play the Miami Marlins today.

SLU Looks to bounce back against VCU.

The Billikens are in Richmond to play Shaka Smart and the VCU Rams. After being upsetted on Thursday, the Billikens will be looking to get a big road victory to establish themselves as one of the top 16 teams in the country. Mizzou will try to keep their tournament hopes alive by hosting the Mississippi State Bulldogs and Illinois will try to upset Michigan State in East Lansing.
