As a Fansided site we are participating in a on going 2014 NFL Mock Draft with some of the Local and NFL sites of Fansided. You can follow the on going draft here (http://factoryofsadness.co/?p=1809) to see all of the picks leading to our selection below. Follow along as we complete all 32 teams First Round Picks.

The Rams select at 13th overall after selecting 2nd overall. I projected that the St. Louis Rams would select Sammy Watkins, the wide receiver from Clemson. Now the Rams have the 13th pick.

With The 13th pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the St. Louis Rams select:

Justin Gilbert, Cornerback from Oklahoma State.

Justin Gilbert is the best cornerback in this draft. He is a playmaker and a difference maker. The Rams have a great pass rush. Next season, teams will use screens and quick passes to negate the pass rush ability of St. Louis. So that means the secondary will get tested early and often. Justin Gilbert doesn’t get beat and he can make the tackle in the open field. That will stop those teams for a loss or a small gain. Take that quick passing game away, the pass rush can get to the quarterback. Justin Gilbert will do wonders for this team and it’s who I believe the Rams should take.
