Missouri Tigers star wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham was arrested early Saturday morning for suspicion of drug activity in Springfield, Missouri.
This begs the question, should Pinkel release Dorial Green-Beckham?
He has already been arrested before on drug related charges. Last season, Green-Beckham was charged with marijuana possession after he and two teammates were smoking pot in a parking lot near Faurot Field. He agreed to a plea bargain deal to second degree trespassing.
Now this is the second time he has been arrested. It’s clear he hasn’t learn his lesson to stay away from drugs or drug related activity. However, the Missouri Tigers football team really needs Dorial Green-Beckham (DGB). The Tigers are losing a lot of talent from the 2013 football team that went 12-2. If they lose DGB, Maty Mauk will be left with a number of unproven wide receivers. All top 3 receivers would not be on the roster if they were to cut DGB. If they don’t cut him, what message does that send to the team? If you produce, the rules don’t apply to you?
Knowing Gary Pinkel, he can forgive one mistake, but not two. I think he will be released from his scholarship and will probably play at another school next fall.
Tell us what you think. Should Gary Pinkel release DGB?
