The St. Louis Rams ended the year with no fireworks but with a bunch of bottle rocket duds as the Rams got blown out by the Seattle Seahawks 27-9. The Rams secured another losing season and now begins the long offseason.
Players of the game
Robert Quinn and James Laurinaitis
When you have a terrible day offensively, you need your best defensive players to step up. Unfortunately, the Rams didn’t have the entire defense playing at a high level today but Laurinaitis and Quinn did. James Laurinaitis had 10 tackles in the game and was everywhere on the field. Robert Quinn added another sack to set the Rams record to 19.
Epilogue
Well this was a straight forward result for the Rams. They got whooped up and down the field. The rushing attack that was so prolific for weeks just couldn’t get going against the tough Seahawks defense. The Seahawks came to play today and the once the Rams got punched in the mouth, it felt like they didn’t want to respond.
So where do the Rams go from here?
That’s unclear. Is Sam Bradford the future for the organization? Are the Rams going to call St. Louis home for the 2015 season? Can they ever move up in the NFC West or did they become very good as soon as everyone else did? So many questions to be answered for the Rams in this offseason. However, the 2013 season is over and now we head into the brutal cold of January and February. So I guess there is only one thing to say.
