It’s time for our 3 Keys to the game and prediction for the New Orleans Saints versus the St Louis Rams.

1. Use Zone Blitzes to confuse Drew Brees.

Yes, Drew Brees is an amazing quarterback. In fact, he is probably one of the best the game has ever seen. I understand why Rams fans would be concerned about stopping Drew Brees but if you use Zone blitzes from time to time, you might be able to confuse him and get pressure on him. He isn’t a god and he does struggle in every game, however he doesn’t struggle often but if you keep the Saints off the board, it will help.

2. Get points on every drive.

3 or 7 points. Every Drive. However they have to come, the Rams need to score on every drive until the 4th quarter. Keep it close and then go for the win in the 4th quarter.

3. Turnover Margin +2

Drew Brees doesn’t throw many interceptions but that doesn’t mean you should not be taken advantage of the mistakes he or others might make. Put the helmet on the ball, good things happen. Punch at the ball, rip it out, whatever it takes. Extra possessions mean more opportunities for points. And with the Saints, you need to score points.

Prediction

I don’t like this matchup at all for the Rams. The Saints are focused and are very good. With the Rams out of playoff contention, they might be shutting this down early to get to the end of the season. I do think they give the Saints a game in the first half but the Saints pull away late.
