Auburn is coming off a huge win against their hated rivals the Alabama Crimson Tide. I won’t be like everyone else and say that a missed FG return for a touchdown is the greatest play in college football history. I think the Prayer at Jordan-Hare was a more ridiculous and memorable play. Huge play? Yes. One of the greatest plays? Yes. THE Greatest? No. That belongs to Cal-Stanford or Doug Flutie’s Hail Mary against the defending national champion Miami Hurricanes. I do believe that Auburn is on cloud 9 and might be overlooking the Missouri Tigers. That might give Mizzou an edge in the first quarter but that will be it. If the Missouri Tigers can get a 14-0 lead after the first quarter, then that could go a long way to ensuring the win in Atlanta.

For those loyal readers of this blog, you know that I believe I have the pick of death. It didn’t work Sunday in the Rams-49ers game so maybe my streak of getting picks wrong is over. I’ll side with history on this pick. The 2013 SEC Championship game will be won by Auburn (wink wink)

Auburn wins 35-31
