Yadier Molina is among 3 Cardinals who are up for the MLB postseason awards.

Yadier Molina is one of 3 finalist for the National League MVP award. The other two finalists for the NL MVP is Arizona Diamondbacks first baseman Paul Goldschmidt and Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Andrew McCutchen.

Shelby Miller is one of 3 finalists for the Jackie Robinson National League Rookie of the Year. Miami Marlins pitcher Jose Fernandez and Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig are the other 2 finalists for Rookie of the Year.

Adam Wainwright is one of 3 finalists for the National League Cy Young award. The other two finalists are Jose Fernandez of the Miami Marlins and Clayton Kershaw of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Which Cardinals will win an award?

I believe the favorite has to be Yadier Molina winning the MVP. Adam Wainwright and Shelby Miller had outstanding seasons but this is a “What have you done lately?” society. Adam Wainwright’s last two appearances were losses in the World Series. Shelby Miller wasn’t used at all during the World Series. That stays with people. Here are my predictions for the NL awards:

NL MVP: Yadier Molina

NL Rookie of the year: Jose Fernandez

NL Cy Young: Clayton Kershaw.
