The Cardinals didn’t need much, but they got the job done beating the Los Angeles Dodgers 1-0 in St. Louis on Saturday afternoon. It’s was a very quick baseball game and the Cardinals only run was scored on a sacrifice fly from Jon Jay to score David Freese.

The Cardinals are up 2 games to zero so what can you expect to see in Los Angeles?

Must Win Game 3?

It’s tough to say a team that is up 2-0 in a best of 7 series must win Game 3 but if the Cardinals want to end this series early, they have to win Game 3. Adam Wainwright is on the mound for the Cardinals in Game 3. If the Cardinals don’t win Game 3, they will have to count on Lance Lynn to win in Game 4. I won’t be counting on Lynn to win a playoff game. So then it would be Joe Kelly versus Zach Grienke. At home, I give the edge to Grienke. So then you’re heading back to St. Louis down 3-2. They need to win Game 3 to put a stranglehold on this series.

Offense PLEASE!

I happen to know many baseball enthusiasts who love pitching duels. I don’t. Can we please have some offense? I know Dodgers Stadium is pitcher freindly ballpark but I want to see 5-4 baseball games, not 1-0 borefests.
