The St. Louis Rams have another week of training camp in the books. Here are my thoughts and updates from Rams training camp.

– The offense is impressive. Sam Bradford has many weapons to work with in his receiving core. I believe the key to a up tempo, spread style offense the Rams would like to run, the tight end is the most important position out there. Reports from camp indicate that the newest Ram Jared Cook and Sam Bradford have already form a connection in the passing game. When Bradford was at Oklahoma, Jermaine Gresham played a huge role in the offense. It’s a good thing that Sam Bradford can rely on Jared Cook.

– An estimated crowd of 15,000 attended the Rams Fanfest at the Edward Jones Dome. This isn’t a fluke, Rams fans are excited once again for a good football team. The ownership group should take note of that and see that St. Louis is a great football town. Let’s hope they and the city of St. Louis can get something worked out to save the St. Louis Rams.

– The defense should also get a hand as well. In training camp, they have been intercepting balls, delivering big hits and playing at a high level. TJ McDonald, I just love this kid. Fights hard, brings it every day. He is going to be a special safety if his work on the practice field shows up on Sundays.

– If this defense is better than last year and with the offense progressing as it is, it could have the potential of being a special year in St. Louis.

– While practices are fun to watch, the real test is to prove it on the field in a game. The Rams will now begin their prepwork on the Cleveland Browns. The Browns once again disappointed their faithful fanbase, but they are still ready for a big year. We’ll see what the Rams will have in store for the Browns on Thursday night.
