Find a shortstop

Pete Kozma’s bat has been MIA for much of the season. Daniel Descalso is getting a chance but can Pete Kozma be the answer at shortstop? Sure he is young and is arbitration eligible this upcoming offseason because of the playing time he has put in so he might be cheaper than your elite shortstops, but is his bad offense worth his good defense? Can’t the Cardinals find someone who is an adequate shortstop yet produces from the plate? Rafael Furcal is out for the season and likely isn’t coming back as a Cardinal. Pete Kozma can’t be the future if he can’t produce at the plate. My suggestion is work Kolton Wong out at shortstop, see if he can field the position. If not, then try other options like Greg Garcia at Memphis or a trade. If Kozma wants to be a major leaguer, he needs to produce like one.
