The Texas Rangers powered past the St. Louis Cardinals 4-2. The Texas Rangers take the 3 game series and the St. Louis Cardinals will try to salvage a win tomorrow night on Sunday night baseball on ESPN.

The Texas Rangers were able to score on 2-two run home runs in the 1st and 3rd inning from AJ Pierzynski and Nelson Cruz. The Cardinals were able to get on the board first when Allen Craig singled to center and scored Carlos Beltran from second. Then in the top of the 2nd inning, AJ Pierzynski homered to right field scoring Adrian Beltre to make it 2-1 Rangers. The Cardinals responded in the bottom half of the 2nd inning when David Freese hit a lead off triple and then Shane Robinson hit a sacrifice fly to tie the game at 2. In the top of the 3rd inning, Nelson Cruz homered to right field bringing home Elvis Andrus to take the lead at 4-2.
