Cardinals Lose To The Reds 4-2

The St. Louis Cardinals lost to the Cincinnati Reds 4-2 on Saturday night. The rubber match will be on ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball starting at 7pm central time.
The scoring began with in the second inning when Yadier Molina led off the inning with a double. David Freese was able to move Yadi to third base with a flyball to right field. Yadier Molina was able to score on a John Jay groundball out to Brandon Phillips.
Jay Bruce homered in the bottom 2nd to tie the game. Then Allen Craig was able to score Carlos Beltran on a single pass shortstop Zach Cozart to take a 2-1 lead.
Then it was all Reds for the rest of the game. Devin Mesoraco homered to lead off the bottom of the 5th. Then Joey Votto was able to bring home Derrick Robinson on a double to center field. Then with the bases loaded, Devin Mesoraco hit a single to Matt Holliday to make the score 4-2.
Tomorrow pitching matchup will be Lance Lynn (8-1, 2.76 ERA) against Bronson Arroyo (6-5, 3.38 ERA).
