The St. Louis Rams had their most impressive victory in recent memory during Sunday’s regular season opener, taking down the defending NFC Champion Seattle Seahawks 34-31 for an overtime win. While the Rams have had several huge wins over the past few years (i.e., last year’s win against Seattle, a dominant takedown of the Denver Broncos, and a 27-16 victory over the New Orleans Saints in 2013, who came into the game with a 10-3 record). This one was different, though; for the first since the team was competitive back in the mid-2000s, there was a special energy inside the Edward Jones Dome that hadn’t been present for many years.

To celebrate this newfound feeling of hope, our takeaways piece this week will focus exclusively on the positives. So much negativity has gone into the media and fans’ analysis of and discussion about the Rams over the past decade or so, that when an opportunity comes to draw exclusively on the positives, we might as well take advantage.
