Missouri Tigers vs. Arkansas State Red Wolves: Start Time, Live Stream, TV Info and More

In a rather unusual occurrence, a Sun Belt school will play host to an SEC opponent on Saturday, as the Missouri Tigers will visit the Arkansas State Red Wolves. It will be the Tigers’ first-ever visit to Jonesboro, though the teams have played three times in the past 12 years (twice at Faurot Field and once at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City).

Mizzou last played Arkansas State on September 28, 2013 in a too close for comfort matchup where the Red Wolves had a 16-14 lead with just 3:39 left in the third quarter. Fortunately for the Tigers, they were able to pull away significantly in the final quarter and ended up winning 41-19. The Red Wolves didn’t exactly establish themselves as a serious threat to Mizzou last week, losing 55-6 to USC, but the Tigers will still need to be on their A-game, especially as they take their first road trip of the season with a very young team.

It’s possible that the Tigers’ core group of contributors could be even younger than it was last week, as center Evan Boehm and running back Russell Hansbrough, arguably the team’s two most important offensive players, are both questionable with sprained ankles. Sophomore Alec Abeln, who made his first career start last week at left guard, would move over to center if Boehm can’t go, forcing senior Taylor Chappell into the lineup. Meanwhile, if Hansbrough can’t play, sophomore Ish Witter would likely make his first career start in the backfield, with former walk-on Tyler Hunt and junior Morgan Steward complimenting him.
