The St. Louis Cardinals beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-2. Here are some thoughts on the huge win.

– Offense, meet the St. Louis Cardinals. The Cardinals didn’t need much but they got the job done. Matt Holliday finally gets going hitting 2 of the Cardinals 4 hits. That was huge for the Cardinals.

Lance Lynn pitched alright for tonight. He went 5.1 innings but walked 3 batters and struck out 5. I do agree with pulling him for Seth Maness. You never know when he might collapse and this was a much needed game for the Cardinals.

Shane Robinson. What a time to come through for the Cardinals. I don’t think Carl Crawford would of caught that ball even if he wasn’t playing so shallow. He cleared the fence. Great job by Shane.

– Yes Keith Olbermann, we get it. The Cardinals were up 3-1 and lost the series last year to the Giants. That was last year. Also, the Cardinals had that one game at home and two games in San Francisco. This time if the Cardinals don’t win Game 5, they get two chances at home. It’s a completely different situation.

– That being said, I don’t believe they will win Game 5. However, I haven’t seen Zack Greinke in an elimination game in his career so I would like to see if he can handle the pressure. Joe Kelly has no pressure whatsoever in Game 5. I do believe Kelly would like to win the game but he doesn’t have to feel the pressure of “Win or go home” game.
