With Game 3 of the St. Louis Blues-Chicago Blackhawks playoff series bringing the teams back to Chicago, the Blues will look to keep up their strong performance at United Center as of late.

The first-round Stanley Cup playoff series between the St. Louis Blues and Chicago Blackhawks moves to Chicago on Sunday afternoon for Game 3. Each team won a game during the first two contests in St. Louis, so they’ll both be looking to establish some important momentum on Sunday. As they shift to United Center, the Blues will look to continue a recent trend of playing well in the Blackhawks’ home arena.

For a while, the Blues couldn’t catch a break at United Center. From March 19 to December 3 of 2014, the Blues lost six straight in the Windy City, including three playoff games as they fell apart in that year’s disappointing first-round loss to the Hawks. But since a momentum-building win on April 5 of last year, the Blues have won three of four at United Center, with the lone exception being a 2-0 shutout loss as they headed into the All-Star break on January 24. Some of the Blues’ best wins this season, the famed “Roar Bacon” win on November 4, as well as the equally impressive but more fundamentally sound “Roar Bacon Jr.” on April 7, have taken place in Chicago.
