The 2016 NL Central could send three teams to the playoffs, again.

The 2015 NL Central was regarded by some as one of the best divisions in baseball history. The 2016 edition of the division looks to be even better. The Chicago Cubs have strengthened their core and added additional pieces that could potentially put them over the hump and take them to the World Series. The Pittsburgh Pirates have multiple key pieces returning, and have traded for players such as John Jaso, who fills the Pirates’ hole at first base. The Cincinnati Reds tore it all down, and look to rebuild while retaining a few key pieces. The Milwaukee Brewers are also in a rebuilding mode, but lack the major pieces that the Reds have. As for the St Louis Cardinals, they’ve lost a lot, but have filled their holes to great success on paper.

With less than two months remaining until opening day, Arch Authority takes a look at the 2016 NL Central division and predicts how this volatile division will shake out come October.
