Missouri Tigers vs. Connecticut Huskies: Start Time, Live Stream, TV Info and More

The 20th-ranked Missouri Tigers return home on Saturday for their third of four non-conference games in 2015, facing the Connecticut Huskies for the first time ever. In facing UConn, Mizzou will continue its streak of facing a team from the newly-formed American Athletic Conference in every year of the conference’s existence, as the Tigers beat Central Florida 38-10 last season in the AAC’s inaugural season. With all due respect to the Huskies, Saturday will be the Tigers’ last “warm-up” game prior to opening SEC play, as they’ll travel to Kentucky next weekend to begin their conference schedule. The only other non-conference game is a neutral-site meeting with the BYU Cougars on November 14 at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.

More from Missouri Tigers

The primary challenge for the Tigers on Saturday will be figuring out how to facilitate their running game without their primary back, Russell Hansbrough. Sophomore Ish Witter is scheduled to get his first career start in the backfield against Connecticut, though as we detailed earlier this week, Mizzou may have trouble assembling a rotation of backs to face the Huskies. Linebacker Kentrell Brothers will look to continue to boost his candidacy as an All-American and a favorite for the Butkus, Nagurski, and Bednarik Awards, as he currently leads the nation with 32 tackles and has three tackles for loss and two interceptions.
