St. Louis Rams vs. Denver Broncos Staff Predictions

The St. Louis Rams face the Denver Broncos on Sunday, and they’ll face quarterback Peyton Manning for the first time since they played the Indianapolis Colts in October of 2009. Here’s how our Arch Authority staff expects this matchup to play out:

Patrick Karraker, Editor: “Obviously we hear about how good this Broncos offense led by Peyton Manning is all the time, but less discussed is how efficient their defense, highlighted by pass rushers Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware, has been this season. With a Rams offense that struggled mightily, even with a semi-mobile quarterback in Austin Davis, against a powerful Arizona Cardinals pass rush last week, I can’t see any way that things get any better this week now that Shaun Hill, an even more stationary signal-caller, has taken the reigns of the offense. I’m expecting that the Rams will give up a bunch of points just like they do every single week, and Denver will continue their trend of putting plenty of points on the board.” Broncos 52, Rams 10

More from St. Louis Rams

Paul Lamb, Staff Writer: “Your fun fact of the week: the Rams are the only team Peyton Manning has never thrown over 300 yards against. In fact, Manning’s career high against the Rams is 235. That, factored in with the Rams only giving up 235 passing yards per game this year (13th in NFL), leaves a glimmer of hope for Rams faithfuls. Now for the bad news, an offense which hasn’t totaled over 250 yards in a game since October 13th. The switch to Shaun Hill won’t change much.” Broncos 34, Rams 17

Scott Criscione, Staff Writer: “Unless the Rams can destroy Peyton Manning like I do on Madden, this one will end badly. At least my brother will get to wear his manning jersey and go home a winner. Jokes aside, this Denver team is the best team in the NFL and is led by a surgeon in Manning. The young Rams secondary will be torched and whoever is the QB for the Rams will be running for his life.” Broncos 48, Rams 17
