2014 NLCS:

33. 2. 40. Final. 2

The St. Louis Cardinals and San Francisco Giants continue a thrilling National League Championship Series on Wednesday evening, with the Giants attempting to take a commanding 3-1 lead, while the Cardinals try to even things back up and rally to finish the series up back in St. Louis.

Ryan Vogelsong and Shelby Miller, who pitched in their respective teams’ NLDS clinching victories, will face off on the mound Wednesday. Vogelsong faced the Cardinals twice during the 2012 NLCS, picking up two wins. He gave up one earned run over four hits in seven innings in each of those starts, and in the second, he struck out nine batters.

Miller just made his first-ever postseason start last week against the Dodgers, but he did pitch out of the bullpen against the Giants in 2012. As a freshly recalled rookie, Miller gave up two earned runs on three hits over 1.1 innings in Game 2, and then threw two scoreless innings in Game 6, giving up one hit.
