The 2014 National League Championship Series between the St. Louis Cardinals and San Francisco Giants moves to San Francisco on Tuesday afternoon as both teams attempt to gain an edge in the series that is tied 1-1 after two games. If Tuesday’s action is anything similar to what we’ve seen to this point, the game will be a must-watch for any fan of the game, as the action in both games has come down to the wire, with Game 1 featuring a near Cardinals comeback in the seventh inning and Game 2 including a ninth inning Giants comeback before Kolten Wong ended it in the bottom of the ninth with a walkoff homer.

Somewhat surprisingly after a 16-year career, 10 of which have been spent in the National League, 39-year-old Tim Hudson will be making his first playoff start against the Cardinals on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Cardinals starter John Lackey will be making his first postseason start against the Giants since his rookie year in 2002, when he started two World Series games, giving up three earned runs in five innings and earning a no-decision in Game 4, and then getting the win in a decisive Game 7, giving up one earned run on four hits over five innings.
