It’s gameday in the NFL and the St Louis Rams travel to the desert to face off against the Arizona Cardinals. The St Louis Rams won a thrilling Week 1 game against the Cardinals at the Edward Jones Dome. Now can the Rams get a big NFC West win on the road? Here is my 3 keys to the game and a pick on who will win the battle in the desert.

1. Get to Carson Palmer.

The St Louis Rams get to the quarterback, it’s what they do best on defense. Carson Palmer is injured but will play Sunday. He isn’t a mobile quarterback and he is injured. The pass rushers for the St. Louis Rams have to be licking their lips. The Cardinals will have to use the short passing game to keep the pressure from getting to Palmer. If the corners for the St. Louis Rams step up and make big plays and get the Cardinals into 3rd and long situations, Robert Quinn, Chris Long and the rest of the Rams defense will make the big sack.
