3 Keys And A Prediction: Rams Vs. Seahawks

The St. Louis Rams will play on the Monday Night stage without Sam Bradford and going against arguably the best team in the NFL, so how can the Rams pull off the upset?

1. Get the ball to Tavon Austin. 

Reverses, direct snaps, quick screens, it doesn’t matter. The Rams will have to lean on Tavon Austin to get this win. Austin Pettis, Brian Quick and Jared Cook will also be important but the Rams need Tavon Austin’s game changing ability to pull off the upset.

2. Have at least a +2 turnover margin

Turnovers are key to any upset but it will take more than 1 turnover to pull off the upset. The Rams must be +2 in the turnover margin if they want to win this game.

3. Get pressure on Russell Wilson. 

The Seahawks love to give the ball to Marshawn Lynch. I don’t blame them. He is a hell of a running back that has established himself as a star after a dismal start to his career in Buffalo. However, if you get pressure on Russell Wilson, something tells me he will get flustered and create the necessary turnovers to get the upset.

Prediction

This might be the final Monday Night football game in St. Louis for who knows how long. With the uncertainty of the Rams’s future in St. Louis without a new stadium and Roger Goodell aiming to add teams to LA and London, this might be it. So can the Rams do it? Can they shock the NFL world and pull off maybe one of the biggest upsets in NFL history? I think so. The Seahawks do not perform well at the Edward Jones dome and the Rams will rally behind Kellen Clemens and win a close game.
