The Rams lost a tough game in Atlanta on Sunday as the Rams fall to the Falcons 31-24. Here are some thoughts on the game.

The Rams made a valiant effort trying to come back in this game but it was too much to overcome. The 21-0 deficit was too much in the end.

Turning point:

Osi Umenyiora pick 6 was the turning point. Sure, the Rams were able to pull within 7 but you have to remember that the Rams were on a 10 play drive and it looked like the Rams were going to score some points. That was until a tipped pass fell into Umenyiora’s hands and he ran it all the way to the house. That was just a kick in the groin to the Rams. That 21 point margin kept the Rams at bay for the Falcons to win.

Top Performer:

Sam Bradford

352 yards passing for Bradford today. 3 touchdowns and the one interception that was a tipped ball. Great game for Bradford.

Needs improvement:

Daryl Richardson

Both teams were terrible at running the ball but I expected more from the running game and especially Daryl Richardson. Need to see more.

Epilogue:

It’s was going to be tough to win in Atlanta. I give the Rams credit for coming back but a loss is a loss. Now the Rams must get ready for the Cowboys. That is a winnable game but the Rams will have to establish a running game to keep the ball away from Tony Romo if they want to win in Dallas.
