The St. Louis Cardinals beat the Los Angeles Angels 12-2 on Wednesday night. The Cardinals have now reached the 50 win plateau of the season.

The St. Louis Cardinals were able to to jump out to a big lead in the 2nd inning when they jumped out to a 7-0 lead. The Angels were able to get two runs back in the bottom half of the 2nd inning but that was all they could get as in the subsequent innings, the Cardinals put up 5 more runs.

Matt Carpenter and John Jay had big games each accounting for a home run and 3 RBIs each. Daniel Descalso also had a big game, going 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs. Yadier Molina didn’t get many RBIs in this game but went 3 for 4 with an RBI. Shelby Miller got the win and is now 9-6 on the season. The Cardinals will face off against the Angels in the final game of the series tomorrow night at 8:05 pm central time.
